Therapy in English

Are you more comfortable with an English speaking therapist? Would you prefer to work with someone who has experience in living abroad and being in cross cultural relationships and patch-work families?

For more than 15 years of my life I lived in several countries and travelled extensively. My parents moved to Spain when I was a teenager, I studied international business in the Netherlands, I worked as a controller in the US and also married abroad using English as my first language for many years. I had several cross cultural relationships including step children, who did not speak my language most of the time.

 

While living in the US I became a therapist specializing in body-oriented psychotherapy, breathwork & sexual counseling. Later when I moved to Germany, I studied various depth psychology tools such as interactive trance work, modern hypnotherapy, classic hypnosis and regression therapy. I currently own my own practice in Landsberg am Lech and also give sessions online. 

 

Besides being a professional English speaking therapist, I see myself mostly as your listener, your mirror & guide in your individual process. I have great faith in the therapeutic tools I use. But first and foremost I believe that as humans we need trusting, supporting and authentic relationships to be able to reflect ourselves and to grow. It is my hearts desire to offer such a relationship to you  - no matter if you call me your therapist, your coach, your counselor or your guide. 

 

My approach to therapy and counseling

I work body-oriented using the client-centered approach by Carl Rogers. This means besides talking about your thoughts and feelings, we will also focus on your breath, your sensations and symptoms to build a bridge from your subconscious to your conscience.  

 

Using depth psychology we can approach your issues, patterns and symptoms from a new perspective and find answers to your life questions and creative solutions to your problems.  As your therapist or coach I will support you through your process and help you reach your goals in a pragmatic way.

 

Goals of body-oriented therapy can be :

What is the cost of English Therapy?

The costs for a therapy session with me is 80 EUR per hour (VAT-free). Therapy sessions usually take between 1,5 and 2 hours. A first consultation on the phone or via Internet for 15 minutes is free of charge. 

Please note that German health insurances will usually not cover the costs. If you are insured internationally or privately this might be different and I am happy to discuss this with you at our first consultation. But in any case please be prepared that you have to pay for my services in cash up front and that you may not be reimbursed.
